Madame Calot
A lactiflora bred in 1856 by Miellez. The flowers are about 14cm in diameter and the plant will reach 0.75 meter. Free flowering, upright growth but like most lactifloras of this vintage, requires staking. The flowers can vary  in colour from year to year, occasionally a pink flush is very noticeable, more often the flowers are creamy-white with a hint of pink and a yellow flush to the centre. Some would say that the flower is at its most beautiful when the merest hint of pink is complemented by the pale yellow at the centre. Plant Source:Claire Austin
