Here are some links to external websites that members might find interesting:
This is the website of Carsten Burkhardt, a German Dentist            who has devoted years to its constructiion. It is probably the most comprehensive reference of Paeonia on the web. However, Dr. Burkhardt is also a keen philatelist and of late has not kept it up to date, due it seems to activities in this field. This is a great shame because it was possible to find the name and description of almost any peony, species or hybrid. It is still immensely useful though.
This is the website of Don Smith one of the Americans active in raising Intersectional Peonies. It is packed with interesting                         information about his work with these fabulous plants and has many superb photographs. This website contains a vast amount of information about Peonies,                                               ranging from Peony Portraits,Peony Breeding, Peony History, Recommended Plants and many more. This is the website of the American Peony Society and is well worth a look; the opening sequence of photographs is superb. This is Facebook and the Peony Society has a page in it. It is called ‘The Peony Society’ and all you have to do is search for it in Facebook and request that you become a member. Some existing members are Peony experts and will help with problems and plant identification.   This is The Peony Show Garden in Holland. The garden has been established to allow growers, salesmen, retailers and wholesalers to see over 700 varieties of peonies growing in one location. Mainly of interest to professionals, there are many interesting images of the grounds and the plants.Another example of the vibrant Dutch plant industry, this time devoting itself to peonies!
