High Noon
A Tree Peony by Saunders in 1952. Perhaps his most widely distributed Yellow Tree Peony. APS Gold Medal winner 1989. Known in China as Hai Huang and in Japan as Hainun, it is grafted and sold worlwide in large numbers - almost the Tree Peony equivalent of Lactiflora Sarah Bernhardt in this respect. It is a most beautiful, clear bright yellow with small red flares almost hidden by the stamens. The plant will often grow tall. Plant Source: Local Nursery
